“Food journaling is not just a savy way to sell a fancy diet.”

Food journalling is your accountability, transparency and your dirty little secret when you have too high a calorie intake. Food journalling is all about being true to yourself and entering everything you eat and drink. This makes it easy to keep track of where you are and how to start making a change.

How to journal your food intake?

Some people use a little notebook to write everything down which is fine but not super efficient. I find it easiest to use a phone app to assist me.

The app that I personally prefer to use and recommend is Calorie Counter by Fat Secret. It is easy to set up and takes you through a simple setup guide and tutorial to show how to add meals, do weigh-ins and more. It may seem overwhelming at first but do not fear – it is super simple once you played around with it. For reference see the screenshot to the right.

Calorie Counter gives you a ton of benefits and small suggestions to help me achieve your goals. Here are a few of the advantages of Calorie Counter.
